the silent allegory
is a curated archive of minimal photography, where quiet atmospheres and intentional compositions serve as a framework for poetic visual narratives.
Driven by personal history and a resonance with the experiences of others – through literature, poetry, and adaptations – these ongoing photographic projects explore what it means to look back with reverence – studying resilience, anonymity, and the quiet beauty of overlooked details and expressions that say what words cannot.
Nothing sits in isolation and nothing is accidental; every image and each evolving series stands as an intentional fragment of a larger architecture.
Written, photographed, and curated by Fallon Leigh.

the presence of absence
c. 2020 –
An invitation to ponder the essence of presence and the haunting beauty of what is left unsaid, unseen, or unfelt in the realm of its opposite – absence.

to be known by the tide
c. 2021 –
A quiet portrait of resilience – of looking on from the outside and the quiet acceptance found within.
Inspired by a visit to the Jurassic Coast and a book I read about Mary Anning of Lyme Regis, written by Crispin Tickell.

humble as a wayflower
c. 2022 –
A poetic minimalist study of the overlooked flora thriving in the margins of our everyday journeys. Through intimate macro portraits that honour each flower’s unique flaws and specific location, the series aims to pair the hidden details of these resilient blooms with their forgotten folklore.

the silent allegory
